We are pleased to offer this rare original late 20th to early 21st century modernist medium oil on canvas framed painting titled “Red Lilly Pad" signed by the artist. This exquisite and vividly colorful artwork depicting water lilies with hues of coral, blue, green, pink and white is signed in blue “Miave” in the upper left-hand corner. Measures: 60” wide x 1.5” deep x 50” high.
This impressive piece of art was displayed at the Toyota Motor corporate headquarters located in New York before being relocated to Toyota’s new headquarters in Plano, Texas in 2016.
Artwork comes with original bill of lading and certificate of insurance showing the paintings insured name, “Toyota Motor North America Inc.” We believe the artwork was a part of Toyota’s corporate art collection and documentation reflects the painting was insured for $20,000 in 2016.
The painting was appraised by Mutual Art Services on June 15, 2019 with an auction value between $7,000 to $10,000. Appraisal values were estimated by comparable artists’ and artworks that appeared in previous auctions similar to composition paintings by the most well-known painter of water lilies; French impressionist artist, Claude Monet.
